2 days and 1 night of toally no sleep and finally patrol fieldcamp was over! I was expecting only 3 missions and i thought that we would be able to rest in between missions. But noooooo, being in Delta, we hhhhaaaddd to be the best! Just when nightfall came and i thought that I was be able to catch some shut eye (even though i slept a little during the ambush, whoops~), we were flushed out from our campsite and punished for not filling up our water bottles ( for further explanation of why that deserves punishment, drop me a msg :D) and then we were told that we were going to practise night movement drills. We were to chiong up this thickly vegetated hill and the branches whacked into my face like they were punishing us for intruding on their territory ah~ We were supposed to do it until we met a timing, and my buddy swears that the vegetation got thinner everytime coz he kepy breaking the branches each time he ran up his path haha.. That was the highlight of patrol fieldcamp for me :D
Anyway, i rushed to check to my handphone, thanks to weijie got a commentary of the gals match :D "Down from 2-0 the gals came back to win Sajc and they are into the finals!" woah! they must have lost the first two sets just to make the game more interesting, haha.. feel so excited for them, experiencing seomthing which i could only dream of, sigh~
Was thinking of the being in/the finals when i came across this article in the Time 100 issue:
... But my philosophy toward sports is a cliche: It isnt so much the result that makes me proud of an athlete or a performance; it's the effort. It's how an athlete handles wins and losses. It's attitude. And it's about understanding that being great at a sport doesn't make u a great person.
